Faced with concerns and uncertainties over COVID-19 (coronavirus) and the impact on our clients, volunteers, and staff, the Dale K. Graham Veterans Foundation will be closed until further notice.
The unambiguous guidance from public health experts is that this important measure is necessary to protect the health of our community which has two high-risk factors: 1) Most of our clients and volunteers are of an advanced age. And 2) while at the Foundation , a large number of individuals sit in close proximity to each other for several hours; close contact is a known contributor to the spread of the disease.
The closure is a precautionary and protective measure. We are unaware of any individuals diagnosed with COVID-19 that have recently been at our Center. Any clients or guests who were recently at the Foundation and have been diagnosed with COVID-19 should contact us right away.
We recognize that this is a significant adjustment for our clients. We are eager to reopen our doors so we can continue to serve veterans.
We will continue to monitor closely the status of COVID-19’s spread and will regularly communicate any additional decisions. Information regarding reopening the Dale K. Graham Veterans Foundation will be reported on our Facebook page and website.
