A LETTER FROM DALE K. GRAHAM

All of us at Dale K. Graham Veterans Foundation hope and pray none of your friends and family have been diagnosed with the virus that has cost so many people their lives. We are doing everything possible to continue assisting veterans with their VA claims and questions by mail or by telephone; our volunteers are working to process veterans’ applications for benefits we have received in the mail.

To improve our ability to work veterans and surviving spouse’s claims by mail, we will continue to address the issue of what forms and documents are to be attached to claims.  When you are mailing us your DBQ’s or other types of medical evidence, please include a photocopy of your DD-214, a copy of your last percentage letter from the VA, and the 2 forms located on our website. Please include all these items in one envelope when you mail to us. If you have been denied for any claim prior, also send a copy of the denial letter from the VA.  When needed, we may call clients to gather additional information. Our mailing address is PO Box 592, Washington, OK 73093.  IMPORTANT: it is imperative that clients mail us complete packets rather than sending partial information in more than one mailing. Going forward, incomplete packets will be mailed back to clients with instructions on next steps.

Currently, we are processing over one hundred claims each week. It does take us more time to prepare a claim than it did when the veterans were sitting across from us. We have a great need for several more volunteers to help with the applications for benefits. For those of you who would like to volunteer with an organization that is helping thousands of veterans and surviving spouses, please email us at info@dalekgrahamveteramsfoundation.org or complete the volunteer application on our website.

As most of you know, the veterans and surviving spouses who we assist have one of the highest approval rates in the nation. No other organization uses an evidence-based system on all the claims for benefits the way our Foundation does. That is the reason that most of the veterans we help get approved for the VA benefits we help them to apply for. If that statement were not true, would veterans be seeking us out from all fifty states and several foreign countries from Europe, Australia, Philippine Islands, and China? As we know, American Veterans are living and working all around this world.

BY THE NUMBERS

Last week 10 veterans received a disability rating of 100% for their service-connected disabilities.  These veterans will also be eligible for the state benefits of sales tax exemptions, property tax exemptions, and other benefits that our state provides for disabled veterans.  29 veterans were awarded disability ratings from 10% to 90. This group of men and women will be eligible for VA Health Care, and some of them may also be eligible for other state benefits.

GIVING
If you would like to help us make a difference, we welcome your support. We spend over $30,000 each month in direct support of the veterans and family members we serve. We transport many homeless veterans to our Norman location each week to help make a difference in the lives of the men and women who have served in the military.

As you know, we are a 501 (c) 3 non-profit and are wholly dependent on donations from the people we serve and local grants. We are not funded by a government entity, all the funds it takes to operate our facility and to assist veterans with medical testing, and other expenses come in the form of grants from local companies or other veterans.

For those of you who would like to support the program, your gifts are always appreciated and may be tax-exempt. You can shop items from our Amazon charity list to stock our food pantry and shop AmazonSmile with us as the charity – we will receive .5% of your eligible purchases.

If you are interested in including us in a gift, please contact Lora at 405-550-8806, ext. 101. Monetary donations can be made online or mailed to PO Box 592, Washington, OK, 73093.
