DALE K. GRAHAM VETERANS FOUNDATION MAKES HISTORY
1000 VETERANS AWARDED MAXIMUM VA DISABILITY
BENEFITS IN 2018
NORMAN, OKLAHOMA— December 20, 2018 — Today at the DALE K. GRAHAM VETERANS FOUNDATION volunteers and veterans celebrated reaching a milestone.
The group has more than twenty thousand clients in 48 states. It helps veterans and their families navigate the VA claims process.
In 2017, the group helped 316 veterans reach the maximum rate for VA disability that provides financial benefits around $3,000 each month. Through the State of Oklahoma, these recipients also receive other benefits that include exemptions from sales taxes and property taxes. Remarkably, the number of 100% recipients climbed to 1,000 in 2018.
“Our goal is to help people,” said Dale Graham, one of the founders of DALE K. GRAHAM VETERANS FOUNDATION.
Many clients and their families have benefited from using the free services this non-profit provides. Not only does the Dale K. Graham Veterans Foundation help with VA matters, but wrap-around services are also available. Counselors from the Vet Centers are on hand each session to answer questions and provide information about the many services it offers. Legal Aid is available each Thursday and provides free legal services. A representative from the Social Security Administration is on hand once each month. The Navy Federal Credit Union also offers its services each session and answers veterans home loan questions as well as banking matters.
“Our success is amazing,” said Lora Malone, Executive Director, “and it is due to the dedicated efforts of our trained volunteers.” Please visit its website at dalekgrahamveteransfoundation.org.
